The After Party Comedy Hoo Ha!

Hey Look .. it's me .. Steve.

So getting friends of mine to come to this Comedy Hoo Ha thing we're producing is gettin' kinda wacky.

Linda and I brainstormed this idea 'cuz we both decided that some kind of fun, party dealie would be a nice jolt to the fun senses. Last time we did something like this was Linda's surprise party. Y'know, it would actually be kinda interesting to put up pics and video of that li'l shindig ... so this blog might actually be the place to make that happen.

But I digress ..

And I also use words like "digress"

I'm 43 years old ...

"What the hell does THAT got to do with anything, Steve!"

Even though I'm chronologically that age, I never feel that age, and I will honestly NEVER feel my real age.

However, a lot of my friends hover around my age and they're in committed relationships with a few rugrats runnin' around and daily responsibilities that make them unavailable for anything that even resembles fun.

Hence my problem with getting their collective asses in seats for this Comedy Hoo Ha we're producing.

I've been getting lots o' fun excuses like ...

"I got a dance recital to go to."

"I can't get a babysitter."

"I have to go in for a liver transplant."

"That's the day I rearrange by sock drawer."

... okay those last two were made up .. and the last one is a direct quote from my favorite movie "The Sure Thing" with John Cusack and Daphne Zuniga. Rent it, watch it, live it.

Point I'm trying to make here is that I barely do stand up comedy anymore ... and when I finally do decide to jump back up on stage again, my friends give me these dumb-ass excuses as to why they can't make the show .... even after hounding me with questions about when I'm gonna go back up onstage again.

Okay, now that THAT'S outta my system ... thanks to Keith, Holly, Deborah, and Christopher for getting back to me and confirming for the show.

This is gonna be one amazing gig that will be taped for broadcast and will (probably) be filmed so we can slap up some footage on this here blog dealie.
