RU CRAZY????- A Family Affair

Okay, I'm bloggin'. Finally had a chance to breathe for a few minutes in
my chaotic life. I run 5 little businesses all inside of Drake Media Network... and as you may know I'm mom to 3 plus 3. Yep... you get 6 with Egg Roll. Gotta love Doris Day. At least I think she was in that movie with Brian Keith from Family Affair. Family Affair--- was this a prelude to Desperately Seeking Housewives. Not. Family Affair was a prelude to Will and Grace. With my
blended family everyday of my life is a Family Affair of some type.
Okay. I'm letting you all know that my life has come full-circle!
My X-husband-"The Rog" first introduced me to Rutgers about
20 years ago. We took a trip from St. Louie, MO to New Jersey to visit
his homeland. We met several of his college buds at a place called,
Stuff YER Face. I'm talking about the place where you can order an incredibly yummy inside out pizza kinda thing called a BOLI that you can order at Stuff YER Face in New Brunswick.
Anyway. This past Sunday, my X and I drove two cars down to Rutgers for my
son's first Open House. I'm lucky because my X and I are still on very
nice terms.
Andrew is enrolled at Rutgers. He applied to several schools and was
accepted by several. We live in New York. He chose New Jersey. Lovely... out of state tuition is double what it would have cost me if he chose a New York state school. He's worth it though. So father and son will both be RU Crazy! Grads. I am happy that my son is happy and I am proud of him for following his dreams. After we did all of the routine going open house things we split up into 2 groups.
Roger and Andrew and Elise and I. We went our separate ways. I decided to treat Elise to lunch by going to Stuff Yer Face. As I was leaving to pay the bill guess who shows up??? Yep.. Roger and Andrew. They decided to eat there too. Go figure. Sometimes in life the more things change... the more they stay the same. www.stuffyerface.com
Let me know about your college days or anything that reminds you of a favorite eating or
drinking place from when you just turned 21. Speaking of that. My step
daughter Stacey (Tom's daughter- husband #2)) who goes to New Paltz just turned 21. I sent her fresh flowers that the florist made into the shape of a cake. They were pink-- her favorite color and they had put pink candles into it.

OTHER HIGHLIGHTS of my week. I gave a Eulogy for a man I never met. It was cool. Let me know if you want me to blog about it.

AND I finished a portrait in pen and ink for the Hampton Coffee Company where all the celebs get their morning brew on.

And if you got hungry by reading the Comedy HO HA.. The food can
be yours too by going to www.tastefullysimple.com/web/ddrake.

Oh.. And remind me sometime to write about my Mrs. Beasley doll losing her head. Tragic. Very tragic.
