Linda is my Dream Therapist

Hey Gang,
Your pal Steve here.

Now, I don't know if I'll be talking about this on the show, but it may turn up.

My day began with a crazy dream and an email to Linda about helping me figure out what the hell it meant.

Me and Linda at Halloween

I thought that Linda was into dream interpretation ... uh .. gonna have to re-think that thought.

Linda gave me a call back today and asked me to launch into a description of the dream.
Here are the details ....

- I was on a beach, that just so happened to be on the side of the road next to a bank (?)

- I layed a beach blanket/bedsheet of the american flag (dreams don't have to make sense, so just play along).

- A little boy showed up and he seemed to be related to me, but was also quite possibly the son of Cindy Crawford.

- We started talking about relationships, when The Rock (Dwayne Johnson .. the wrestler/actor guy) showed up and said that he brought a friend along.

- That friend turned out to be a girl that I once had a relationship with. We'll call her "Meg."

- Meg had a guy along with her ... and he seemed to be a complacent and subservient version of me. He sorta looked like me, but wasn't really me.

- Meg and I sat close on the beach towel/bed sheet and started talking about our relationship and what happened between us.

- Suddenly .. we both went in for a kiss ... and hit our teeth! Ever have that happen to you? Ain't fun.

- I blurted out, "That wasn't my fault!"

- Then she got up and left.

- I went over to a video camera that was plugged into the wall, unplugged it, realized that it wasn't my video camera, then plugged it back in.

- And then .. for some reason .. the scene shifted to me on the back of an ambulance racing past a tennis court.

So I told Linda this dream .. and there was this long silence ... and then she started asking me why people always think that SHE'S the one that knows what the hell dreams mean!

We had a hearty chuckle over that statement.

Linda pulled out her dream book and we went over some of the major images .. kissing .. sand .. and then she quizzed me about how I really felt about this girl.

Meg and I had a "sorta fling" and I worked with her before. It was one of those things that could've been but really shouldn't have been 'cuz you feel that it'd just explode and ruin everything.

So do I miss her? Sure. But I'm moving on.

Dreams are just your subconscious either yelling at your or helping you come to some sort of closure.

I don't know what kissing a girl, clinking teeth, and then riding an ambulance passed a tennis court may mean ... but I'm sure it's a fun time!

.. and I know how to have fun

Me being wacky.

I'm sure Linda will delve into this more on the show .. so tune in!

Steve
